About The Position
HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring a full-time, W-2 School-Based Registered Nurse in New Orleans, Louisiana, at $38–$43 per hour. The nurse supports students’ health and wellness in a school setting, collaborating with school staff and families and delivering services in accordance with students’ IEPs and current best practices. HealthPro Pediatrics, a division of HealthPro Heritage, describes itself as a leader in pediatric and school-based therapy. The role offers collaboration with experienced therapists, a consistent caseload, and opportunities to grow across school, outpatient, and pediatric settings. Requirements
- Hold a current license to practice in the state of residence or state of placement.
- Have successful experience working with culturally diverse families.
- Take responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students’ health and wellness.
- Participate in the IEP process by developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for nursing services.
- Provide nursing services using current best practices based on the services prescribed in the IEP.
- Maintain documentation required by the district and ASHA’s code of ethics, including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs.
