About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring a full-time, W-2 School-Based Registered Nurse in New Orleans, Louisiana, at $38–$43 per hour. The nurse will provide school-based nursing services, collaborate with school staff and families, contribute to the IEP process, and maintain required documentation. Requirements

• Hold a current license to practice in the state of residence or state of placement.
• Have successful experience working with culturally diverse families.
• Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Consult and collaborate with school staff and families regarding students’ health and wellness.
• Participate in the IEP process by developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for nursing services.
• Provide nursing services using current best practices and the services prescribed in each student’s IEP.
• Maintain documentation required by the district and ASHA’s code of ethics, including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPs.
