About The Position
School Nurse Health Room Nurses provide nursing care to students, manage chronic health conditions in the school setting, coordinate care and screenings, and immunization management. The provision of school health services to students and serve as a liaison between the school, the medical community and other agencies involved in the health and welfare of students.
Requirements
- Hold a current Alabama License for Associate Degree in nursing (ADN), Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (BSN), or Practical Nursing (LPN)
- Clinical nursing skills necessary to provide safe care to students with special health care needs
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with administration, nursing supervisor, faculty, parents and students
- Possess current CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Clinical nursing experience with school age children in the hospital, community health or pediatric clinic
