Requirements

Must hold a current, valid Registered Nurse License in Massachusetts
CPR Certified

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children and families in a school or community setting highly preferred
Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Spanish language proficiency is a plus

Responsibilities

Monitor students or staff who are ill
Supervise prescribed medical treatments and medication administration in accordance with all regulations
Run a school medical office independently
Attend field trips with students with high medical needs
Administer first aid as needed
Participate in emergency services for students and staff in the event of sudden illness or injury
Provide assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, management, and referral for appropriate medical care of students with acute or chronic health conditions
Prepare health reports for Nurse Leader, Department of Education and Department of Public Health
