About The Position

The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for a substitute school nurse. The role is performed irregularly and infrequently, as needed. Applicants must complete a national criminal background check and an Arkansas Child Maltreatment Registry background check before beginning substitute employment.

Requirements

• Pass a national criminal background check before beginning substitute employment.
• Pass an Arkansas Child Maltreatment Registry background check before beginning substitute employment.
• Have a working knowledge of community health education and practice.
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Be able to administer medications, first aid, and health supplies.
• Have a working knowledge of and ability to use first aid and health equipment.
• Provide proof of CPR training completed within the last 12 months.
• Be able to perform all duties with caution.
• Demonstrate a patient and calm demeanor with students and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing license preferred.
