About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse for the rest of the 2025–2026 school year in Spanaway, Washington . This is a full-time, in-person health room position serving students across the district. If you’re passionate about student wellness and want to work with a values-driven, therapist-run organization, we’d love to hear from you!

Requirements

• Valid Washington State RN license (DOH)
• School Nursing ESA or eligibility required!
• BSN required
• Fingerprinting and background check required prior to start

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or public health preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and IHPs
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Communicate with families regarding student health needs
• Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and administrators
• Participate in IEP or 504 plan meetings when appropriate
• Support health education and wellness initiatives
• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols
• Monitor immunization compliance and conduct health screenings as needed
