About The Position

HealthPRO Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide school-based nursing services in Talbot County, Maryland. This position supports a high school student with complex medical needs, including providing nursing care during bus transportation to and from school in Baltimore County, while also supporting another student requiring nursing services during the school day. This is a Full-Time, School-Based position in Talbot County, MD, with 37.5 hours/week and 7.5 hours/day. The role involves providing 1:1 nursing support and accompanying a student on transportation to/from school, as well as supporting additional student nursing needs during the school day. Employment is W-2 with HealthPRO Pediatrics benefits.

Requirements

Active Maryland RN license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited nursing program ( ADN or BSN )
Current CPR/BLS certification
Ability to safely provide nursing care during student transportation/bus rides
Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
Ability to meet all applicable school district and state health requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience working with pediatric or school-age students preferred
Experience providing 1:1 nursing care or supporting students with complex medical needs preferred

Responsibilities

Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students’ health and wellness.
Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for nursing services.
Provide nursing services through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP.
Maintain all documentation required by the district and ASHA’s code of ethics including, but not limited to, daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP’s.
Provide 1:1 nursing support and accompany student on transportation to/from school.
Support additional student nursing needs during the school day.
