About The Position

We are seeking an RN, LPN, or EMT to join our team as a School Nurse or Medical Aide. This part-time position (8:00 - 2:15, Monday through Friday) is essential in providing a safe and healthy environment for our students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for addressing the medical needs of students, promoting health education, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

• Valid and appropriate Indiana license.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health regulations and best practices in school health.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor and maintain student health records, including immunization status and health screenings.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to address student health concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized health office, ensuring all medical supplies are stocked and up-to-date.
• Stay informed about current health trends and regulations affecting school health practices.
• Provide support and guidance to students regarding personal health and wellness issues.
