About The Position

Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) Child and Youth Behavioral team to support Anderson AFB in Guam. This is a 9-month position aligned with the school calendar. The role involves providing non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth. The focus is on preventive, solution-focused approaches to address challenges faced by military children due to the stresses of military life. This is an opportunity to serve a vital role in supporting U.S. military service members and their families during significant life adjustments.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
  • Hold a valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment.
  • Must be able to pass a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must be able to start by August 8th, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Work at school(s) populated by military youth and teens.
  • Visually observe, participate, and engage in activities with youth and/or teens.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to staff and parents.
  • Model behavior management techniques for staff and parents.
  • Offer presentations on social skills development and social emotional learning.
  • Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials.
  • Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events.
  • Assist with transition adjustments, such as new schools and new homes.
  • Participate in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned.
  • Communicate information regarding trends and issues at the assigned installation to Team Leads.
  • Respond to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation.
  • Traverse long distances to both indoor and outdoor locations, maneuvering through rugged, outdoor, or uneven locations, and work in outdoor weather.
  • Travel to locations outside of a military base in a variety of physical environments.
  • Comply with various site-specific requirements to work at designated locations on military installations or related worksites.
