About The Position
Lincoln Academy is looking for a dependable and motivated Cook to join our Food & Nutrition team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing quality meals, working in a team environment, and serving students each day. The Cook plays an important role in ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and with care.
Requirements
- Previous cooking or commercial food service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, organized, and a strong team player.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation to ensure safety and effectiveness in the role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items according to established menus and recipes.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and serving.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.
- Monitor food temperatures and comply with health department regulations.
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and receiving deliveries.
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Work closely with the Food Service team to ensure efficient daily operations.
