About The Position

Children of America (COA) is seeking a passionate and driven School Director to lead their school. This role involves developing a strong team, creating an exceptional experience for children, families, and educators, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school. The School Director will play a key role in creating a positive school culture, supporting educators, building strong family relationships, and ensuring the school operates successfully while delivering a high-quality educational experience. COA provides high-quality early childhood education and care for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age, with programs including Infant Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp.

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or CDA
2–4 years of leadership experience
At least 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility
Strong knowledge of early childhood education and development
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Ability to remain flexible and solution-oriented in challenging situations
Commitment to professional growth and development
Proficiency with technology, including industry-specific applications and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must meet all applicable state licensing and regulatory requirements
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% for training, professional development, and organizational meetings

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, motivate, and retain a talented team of educators and support staff
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school
Build strong relationships with children, families, employees, and the community
Drive enrollment growth through the execution of the COA Experience
Support and maintain high standards of quality care and education
Ensure compliance with all applicable state childcare regulations and licensing requirements
Implement and maintain COA policies, procedures, and operational standards
Support the successful execution of the school's annual budget and performance goals
Foster a positive, collaborative, and engaging work environment
Partner with regional and corporate leadership to achieve operational and educational goals
Identify opportunities to improve the school experience for children, families, and employees
