About The Position

The School Dance Program Coach teaches dance sessions for children ages 5–10 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Classes are held in person, Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Coaches typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. The programs serve younger and beginner-level children and aim to create a fun, energetic, and positive environment. The role is part-time, typically 2–5 hours per week, and pays $50–$65 per session; the posting also lists compensation of $50–$65 per hour. Equipment and lesson plans are provided. Coaches attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old at the time of application.
• Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
• Must enjoy working with children in a positive and active setting.
• Must be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting.
• Must send a photo and short biography for the website, introducing their experience in sports.
• Must already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the sport being applied for, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach dance classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
• Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
• Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-ins.
• Interact with parents and school staff.
• Capture a few class photos for documentation.
