About The Position

The School Dance Program Coach teaches dance sessions for children ages 5–10 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Classes are held in person, Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Coaches typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. The position is part-time, typically 2–5 hours per week, and pays $50–$65 per session. Equipment and lesson plans are provided. Coaches must attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting. Applicants must live locally, be eligible to work in the United States, and be available for in-person work; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old when applying.
Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting.
Must submit a photo and short biography for the company website and introduce their sports experience.
Must already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Must be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
Enjoyment of working with children in a positive and active setting.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the sport being applied for, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
Manage class sizes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive, energetic environment.
Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting work.
Take attendance and manage student sign-ins.
Interact with parents and school staff.
Capture a few class photos for documentation.
