About The Position

The Hope Source, in partnership with Dynamic Minds Academy, is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. This role is crucial for supporting daily operations by ensuring therapy rooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas are clean, organized, and ready for use. The Custodian will perform routine cleaning and sanitation, assist with basic facility upkeep, and monitor cleaning supplies to ensure the center remains well-maintained and operational. This position is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented individual comfortable working in a healthcare and educational setting serving children and families.

Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 pounds
Ability to operate standard custodial equipment and cleaning tools
Comfortable working in an active environment with children, families, and clinical staff
Previous custodial or janitorial experience required
Experience in a school, healthcare, therapy center, or similar setting required
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility environment
Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
Clean and sanitize restrooms, therapy rooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas
Disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout the facility
Restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and hygiene materials
Support setup and cleanup for therapy spaces, meetings, or special events
Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
Help maintain a welcoming and professional environment for staff and families
