School Crossing Guard
About The Position
Legacy Traditional Schools is dedicated to providing motivated students with the opportunity to achieve academic excellence in an accelerated, back-to-basics, safe learning environment taught by caring, knowledgeable, and highly effective educators in cooperation with supportive, involved parents. The School Crossing Guard will help students cross the street safely at key locations and guide them through crosswalks. This role involves alerting motorists to pedestrians in the crossing area and discouraging unsafe behavior near traffic. The crossing guard will also observe and report any incidents that present a safety hazard.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times
- Must pass a criminal history background check
- Must have an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Responsibilities
- Help students cross the street safely at key locations
- Guide students safely through cross walks
- Alert motorists that pedestrians are in the process of using the school crossing
- Discourage students from behaving unsafely near traffic
- Observe and report any incidents that present a safety hazard
