The School Counselor leads the campus family engagement vision, social emotional learning program, and coordination of mental health and counseling supports for all scholars on the campus. This role ensures that all staff are building authentic relationships with students and families through the implementation of family engagement, social emotional learning, and student social emotional supports. Data maintenance and analysis are integral components of effective school-based intervention implementation, and School Counselors are responsible for the validity and accuracy of their goals to drive campus strategies and tactics. The School Counselor will direct and hold all campus team members accountable for their roles in supporting students and families, ensuring clear understanding of roles, access to data for action, and inspiration to engage meaningfully with students and parents. This role aims to ensure all students have the academic and social skills needed to achieve their goal of going to and through college, creating a safe physical and emotional environment for learning, growth, and success.
