School Counselor LCSW/LMHC/Psych - Manhattan
About The Position
Knowledge Road is seeking licensed clinicians (LCSW/LMHC/Psychologist) to work as school counseling providers on a 1099 basis in Manhattan. The position involves providing IEP- and IESP-mandated services to students in independent, parochial, and charter schools across Manhattan, as well as some homeschooled students. This is not a placement within NYC DOE public schools. The role offers flexibility in terms of working hours and caseload, with opportunities to work during school hours, after school, and on weekends. The company recruits year-round and matches clinicians with available cases based on their qualifications and preferences.
Requirements
- NYS license as an LCSW, LMHC or Licensed Psychologist
- Availability to work in Manhattan
- Cannot have been employed by the NYC Department of Education within the past year (or require special approval)
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one counseling aligned to each student's IEP or IESP goals
- Keep session notes and complete required documentation
- Complete progress reports as required
- Communicate with the school, the family, and the student's team
- Attend IEP meetings for the students you work with
