About The Position
Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time School Counselor to support the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students. This role involves creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that fosters student growth. The position is available in Bronx, NY & Yonkers, NY.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- NYS Current School Counseling Certificated, preferred.
- Experience working with K-8 students desired.
Responsibilities
- Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
- Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling, focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
- Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
- Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.
- Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
- Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
- Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.
