About The Position

This position is for a School Counselor at Wakefield High School. The role requires a candidate who can effectively communicate and collaborate with principals, staff, and parents, and work as a team member with both special education and general education staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to compromise, good initiative, flexibility, dependability, and strong organizational skills, along with a strong sense of professionalism and classroom management.

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Counseling endorsement.
• Teaching experience in the above mentioned areas
• Knowledge of best instructional practices
• Ability to integrate technology
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
