About The Position
Catapult Learning is seeking a Part-Time School Counselor for St. Sebastian in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves supporting the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students. The counselor will create a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment to foster student growth and development, utilizing company resources and ongoing support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
- 5 years of experience required.
- School Counselor certificate required.
- Experience working with grade levels: K–8
Responsibilities
- Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
- Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling, focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
- Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
- Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.
- Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
- Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
- Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.
