About The Position
Catapult Learning is seeking a School Counselor to join their team. This role involves supporting the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students. The School Counselor will play a critical role in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that fosters student growth and development. The position is available in two locations: Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Dallas, Texas (Part-Time) and Dallas Christian Academy in Dallas, Texas (Full-Time).
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling or related field.
- Experience working with students desired.
- One of the following: LMSW, LCSW, LPC-A, LPC, School Counselor Certification.
Responsibilities
- Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
- Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling, focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
- Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
- Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.
- Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
- Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
- Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.
