Under the direction and supervision of the principal or designee, the counselor will serve as a collaborative leader within the school counseling department and work closely with school staff, parents, students, and the community to create a supportive climate where all students can achieve academic, social-emotional, and postsecondary success. The counselor will provide leadership in the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the ASCA National Model and district strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess extensive secondary counseling experience and demonstrated expertise in areas such as High School and Beyond Planning (HSBP), graduation pathways, NCAA eligibility and requirements, AVID Programming, multilingual learner support, master scheduling, postsecondary planning, and intervention systems via an MTSS model. This position requires a student-centered leader who can support and guide fellow counselors, strengthen systems and processes, and advocate for equitable access and outcomes for all students. School counselors enhance the learning process and promote academic achievement by helping students develop college, career, and life readiness skills while fostering positive relationships and meaningful postsecondary opportunities.
