About The Position
The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 4 Long-Term Substitute School Counselor for the 2025–2026 academic year. Anticipated start date is February 5, 2026 with the assignment concluding around May 4, 2026. Mindess is a vibrant learning community dedicated to academic excellence and the social emotional growth of every student. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
Nice To Haves
- Degree in counseling or related field preferred
- DESE licensure as a School Counselor preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group counseling
- Facilitate weekly SEL lessons in fourth grade classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student social-emotional growth
- Assist with crisis intervention and student support plans as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and families
- Participate in student support meetings and professional development opportunities
