About The Position
The Mindess School is seeking a Grade 5 Long-Term Substitute Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- valid teaching license
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
Nice To Haves
- Degree in education preferred
- Prior teaching in upper elementary grades preferred
Responsibilities
- Creating an inclusive, engaging, and joyful classroom environment
- Planning and delivering instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
- Administering and analyzing assessments to guide instruction
- Collecting and using data to inform teaching practices
- Communicating effectively with students, families, colleagues, and school leadership
- Supporting and maintaining classroom expectations, routines, and school-wide norms
