About The Position

This position is for a School Community Engagement Leader at Roberts Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. It is an internal-only vacancy. The role involves supporting the implementation of Cultural Proficiency strategies and practices, leading learning opportunities, and representing the school community on the district’s Cultural Proficiency committee. The leader will also attend planning and professional learning meetings, engage in continuous learning, and share resources with students and faculty. Collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent and district cultural proficiency consultants is a key aspect of the role.

• Desire to lead cultural proficiency work in school community
• Ability to work with all staff and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Cultural Proficiency strategies and practices with faculty, students, and families along with the Principal.
• Lead informal and formal learning opportunities in your building.
• Represent the school community on the district’s Cultural Proficiency committee.
• Attend monthly planning/professional learning meetings with other Cultural Proficiency Teacher Leaders led by the district consultant.
• Be active in reading assignments from study books and other materials to enhance personal knowledge and skills.
• Share various resources, including websites, instructional materials, readings, or other resources to use with students or faculty.
• Work directly with the Assistant Superintendent and the district’s cultural proficiency consultants.
• Model continual improvement, demonstrate lifelong learning, and use what is learned to help all students achieve.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
