Requirements
- Proven track record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow a cleaning checklist and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Capable of working efficiently with minimal direct supervision.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs throughout a 6-hour shift.
- Must be willing to undergo a standard background check required for working in a school facility.
- Reliably commute or plan to relocate to Lafayette, IN before starting work.
Nice To Haves
- Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required-we will train the right candidate!
Responsibilities
- Empty trash and recycling, dust surfaces, wipe down desks, and sanitize high-touch points in classrooms and offices.
- Sweep, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum floors in classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms, fixtures, mirrors, and replenish soap and paper supplies.
- Clean and sanitize cafeterias, breakrooms, and gym areas as needed.
- Ensure facility doors and windows are securely locked at the end of the shift.
