About The Position

Promesa Academy Charter School is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and service-oriented School CNP / Custodian for the 2026–2027 school year. This position supports both the school’s Child Nutrition Program and custodial operations to help maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Current Food Handler Certification , or the ability to obtain certification before beginning employment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attendance, reliability, and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with students, staff, families, and visitors.
Willingness to complete required food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety training.

Nice To Haves

Prior food-service or custodial experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation, serving, and distribution of student meals.
Follow established meal schedules, portion requirements, and food-service procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, cafeteria, serving areas, and food-storage spaces.
Follow all food-safety, hygiene, and health requirements.
Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and kitchen supplies.
Maintain accurate meal counts and other required documentation, as assigned.
Support cafeteria setup, student meal service, and cleanup.
Follow all Child Nutrition Program guidelines and school procedures.
Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, empty trash, and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
Restock restroom, classroom, and custodial supplies.
Assist with campus setup and cleanup for meetings, programs, and special events.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply needs.
Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment.
Help maintain exterior grounds, entrances, sidewalks, and loading areas.
Complete additional cleaning and campus-support duties as assigned.
