About The Position

Voyago is hiring Part-Time School Bus Monitors in Kingston for the 2026/2027 school year. This role involves supervising students on school buses to and from school, ensuring their safety during onboarding and transit. The position offers straightforward pay, opportunities to support the community, and a focus on safety. Monitors are essential for keeping students moving safely every day.

Requirements

Safety focused.
21 years of age or over.
Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening.
Sound knowledge of Kingston and surrounding areas.
Ability to work with others, specifically the bus driver.
Available for required shifts: Monday to Friday approximately 6:00 am to 9:15 am AND 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route).
Solid communication skills.
Enjoy being around children of all ages.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Supervising students onboard school buses to and from school.
Monitoring the onboarding and existing of students on the bus and ensuring their safety.
Adhering to scheduling based on bus route and the needs of the students.
Performing pre & post trip circle checks.
Helping cover for monitors who are off sick or have booked time off as a spare monitor.
