About The Position

DS Bus Lines Inc. is seeking a part-time School Bus Monitor. This role is ideal for individuals tired of working nights, weekends, holidays, or unpredictable schedules, and who prefer not to be on their feet all day. The Bus Monitor plays a crucial role in ensuring students board, depart, and arrive safely at their destinations. The primary responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment for students, allowing the Driver to focus on driving. DS Bus Lines, a part of Beacon Mobility, has over 30 years of experience in student transportation services and is committed to its core values of Family, Safety, Service, and Respect.

Requirements

• Ability to kneel and fasten wheelchair restraints.
• Ability to bend and stoop as needed to assist with various tasks.
• Ability to ascend and descend stairs of school bus.
• Ability to fasten children securely in seats.
• Performing other related tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Help the Driver focus on driving the assigned vehicle.
• Greet students in a pleasant manner.
• Help students as necessary.
• Ensure all students arrive safely at their destination.
• Perform child checks at the conclusion of every tour of duty.
• Always maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
