About The Position

Alltown Bus Service is seeking Part-Time School Bus Drivers. This is a flexible weekday schedule with summers off. Paid CDL training is provided, and no experience is necessary. The starting pay is $25.00/hour, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus for fully credentialed candidates with a CDL and Passenger and School Bus Endorsement. This role is ideal for retirees, stay-at-home parents, healthcare workers, veterans, or anyone seeking a second career or flexible job. We welcome candidates from various backgrounds, including teacher aides, daycare workers, classroom assistants, social workers, cashiers, retail associates, call center agents, and hospitality staff. The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely and punctually transporting students to and from school and activities, performing pre-trip inspections, ensuring child safety, and maintaining DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Conduct child checks after each route
• Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes
• Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle
• Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records
• Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
