About The Position

South Fayette Township School District is seeking a School Bus Driver to join their Transportation Department. This position is responsible for the safe operation of school buses, maintaining student discipline, and adhering to all district and state regulations.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania CDL class “A or B” driver’s license with all required endorsements for school bus operation.
• Possess a valid Physical Examination Card signed by the School Board approved physician.
• Possess a current Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Possess a current Act 34 Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check.
• Possess a current Act 114 Finger Print Clearance.
• Possess a current Tuberculin test.
• Possess a Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing.
• Participation in a random selection drug and alcohol testing program.

Responsibilities

• Conducting two daily safety inspections of the bus and reporting any irregularities.
• Daily sweeping and cleaning of the bus.
• Maintaining student discipline and reporting discipline issues to school principals.
• Operating established bus routes and stops within posted speed limits, and reporting proposed changes to the Director of Transportation.
• Completing required reports in a timely manner.
• Maintaining appropriate Commonwealth of Pennsylvania licensing with required endorsements.
• Following all Federal, State, Local and School district procedures, policies and regulations.
