School Bus Driver
About The Position
Lorenz Bus Service is a diversified transportation company located in Blaine, MN, and is a leading provider of motor coach, shuttle bus, and school bus services in the Twin Cities. Due to continued growth and demand, Lorenz Bus Service, Inc. is seeking talented school bus drivers. The company fosters a family-like culture and offers employees the chance to be part of a greater purpose. Drivers are considered central to the company's operations and are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service. Lorenz Bus Service manages transportation for the Minnesota State Fair and provides services for local universities, professional sports teams, visiting dignitaries, and local Fortune 500 corporations, which often create significant summer work opportunities for school bus drivers. Currently, the company is hiring school bus drivers for routes in the Spring Lake Park School District and Anoka Hennepin School District, with routes offering 30+ hours per week.
Requirements
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to act in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
- Patience and the ability to maintain professionalism while adapting to changing situations.
- Must have a smart phone or tablet.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with school bus endorsement.
- Current and valid DOT medical card.
- Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test and criminal history background check.
- Favorable driving record with experience, or willingness to complete Lorenz’s entry level driver training program.
- Have a glass is half full mentality, with a passion for serving others.
- Team Player – reliable, honest, take initiative and be committed to putting the team’s objectives above your own.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
