About The Position

Alltown Bus Service is seeking Part-Time School Bus Drivers in Harvey, IL. This is a flexible weekday position with summers off, offering paid CDL training and starting pay of $25.00/hour. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for fully credentialed candidates with a CDL and Passenger/School Bus Endorsement. The School Bus Driver is responsible for safely and punctually transporting students to and from school, performing vehicle inspections, ensuring child safety, and adhering to DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Possess a CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement (for sign-on bonus)
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings

Responsibilities

• Must be 21 years or older
• Safely transport students to and from school and activities
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Conduct child checks after each route
• Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes
• Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle
• Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records
• Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
• Perform other duties as assigned
