About The Position

Voyago is hiring Part-Time School Bus Drivers in Sudbury for the 2026/2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals seeking extra income with flexible hours, offering meaningful part-time work with afternoons off. The position involves safely transporting students to and from school, prioritizing their safety, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining the bus, completing required documentation, and reporting any issues. Drivers will also participate in ongoing training and foster a safe and respectful environment for passengers.

Requirements

• Safety focused
• Hold a valid minimum full G class drivers license for at least 1 year
• Be 21 years of age or over
• Be a safe driver with a clean driving record
• Be able to obtain a clean criminal record search with vulnerable sector screening
• Have a sound knowledge of Sudbury and surrounding areas
• Ability to work independently
• Available for the required shifts: Monday to Friday approximately 6:00am to 9:15am AND 1:00pm to 4:30pm (Start and end times will vary depending on the specific details of each route)
• Possess solid communication skills
• Enjoy being around children of all ages
• Comfortable driving in all types of weather and road conditions
• Comfortable driving large vehicles
• Basic computer skills and can easily navigate Google Maps or a GPS unit

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students within your community to and from school, ensuring a reliable and positive experience each day
• Prioritize student safety at all times, including during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
• Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to ensure the bus remains in proper and safe operating condition
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bus, including assisting with fueling and basic upkeep to present a well kept, professional vehicle
• Accurately complete daily Hours of Service reports and maintain required documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Immediately report any mechanical issues or concerns affecting the safe operation of the vehicle
• Address and report any student behaviour issues in a timely and professional manner, following company procedures
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with safety practices, policies, and regulations
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and care while fostering a safe and respectful environment for all passengers
