About The Position

HA Transportation is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee three school bus companies, with responsibility for day-to-day performance, safety, workforce management, and service delivery. This role is accountable for ensuring reliable, consistent transportation service while leading front-line teams and maintaining strong relationships with school district partners. The School Bus Director of Transportation will operate across multiple locations and play a key role in stabilizing and improving performance across all operations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant operations leadership experience
• School bus or transportation experience strongly preferred
• Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
• 7+ years of relevant operations leadership experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• CDL preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Leading daily operations across three (3) school bus companies
• Ensuring all routes are covered consistently with no service disruptions
• Managing driver workforce including staffing, scheduling, and performance
• Overseeing routing, dispatch, and contingency planning
• Driving safety and compliance across all operations
• Partnering with maintenance to ensure fleet readiness
• Serving as the primary operational contact for school district partners
• Managing performance, efficiency, and operational costs
