About The Position

ASDB Chaperones assist drivers as a team, interacting with the driver and students. This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION, requiring pre-employment drug testing and subject to random drug testing. The role involves ensuring students are safely seated, maintaining appropriate student behavior, and working with parents and staff regarding specific methods of assistance. Individual positions may be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and/or other related duties.

Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift, and secure on the bus
• Good Communication
• Teamwork
• Physically fit
• Ability to read and write English
• Must be able to pass FBI and State background checks.
• Positions working directly with students must obtain CIT (Crisis Intervention Training, CPR, and First Aid certification
• Must be able to pass post-offer physical
• Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel who drive on state business

Nice To Haves

• ASL (American Sign Language) skills if working with deaf staff/students
