About The Position
As a School Bus Aide, you will play an important role in ensuring students have a safe, comfortable, and positive transportation experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work split shifts (morning and afternoon routes).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist students as they board and exit the school bus safely.
- Help maintain a calm, respectful, and secure environment during transportation.
- Support students with special needs and mobility challenges as needed.
- Ensure students are properly seated and following safety procedures.
- Communicate respectfully with students, parents, drivers, and school personnel.
- Monitor student behavior and report concerns when appropriate.
- Assist the driver in responding to emergencies and following established safety procedures.
- Perform pre- and post-route safety checks as directed.
