About The Position

Spring River Mental Health & Wellness, Inc. is a Certified Community Mental Health Center located in Cherokee County, KS with offices located in Riverton and Columbus. Spring River is a National Health Service Corp. Site for HRSA Loan Repayment Opportunities for candidates that qualify. This is a year-round position serving clients and families in the school, home, clinic and community.

Requirements

Minimum of 21 years of age.
Master’s degree required in psychology, social work, counseling or marriage and family therapy and be currently licensed or eligible for licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
Skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and psychotherapeutic treatment of children, adolescents and adults with mental disorders, trauma informed care, screening and referral of individuals with substance use disorders.

Prior professional experience working with children and families strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

To assess, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders in children and adolescents and provide quality, compassionate and ethical services in accordance with a level of care model.
Administration and interpretation of screening tools, psychological tests, and other assessment instruments as licensed.
Ability to develop, monitor and evaluate progress towards treatment plan goals.
Ability to complete clinical documentation requirements in the electronic health record in accordance with agency policy.
Ability to provide services in the outpatient clinic, the designated school districts and work collaboratively with school officials.
To identify and assist clients access additional community resources necessary to attain treatment goals and progress towards recovery.
To serve in the afterhours Mobile Crisi Response weekly rotation approximately 4-5 times per year.
