About The Position
Lakeshore Behavior Consulting is seeking a full-time, school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students in a local school district in Chicago Heights, Illinois. This is an in-person, W-2 position with typical school-day hours and benefits. The role involves direct therapy, evaluations, IEP development, and collaboration with educational teams to support student communication and academic achievement.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
- Active Illinois IDFPR Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

- School-based experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and consultative services to students with diverse communication needs.
- Conduct evaluations, write assessment reports, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop measurable communication goals and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements.
