Requirements

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) certification.
Experience with child, adolescent, and/or adult clients (based on experience and credentialing).
Proficiency in EHR systems (Avon experience a plus).
Basic Office/Workspace tools (Docs/Sheets/Slides) proficiency.
Secure email/telehealth workflows proficiency.
Knowledge of New Jersey APN collaborative protocols and federal/state prescribing laws (CDS/DEA).
Understanding of HIPAA/FERPA in school settings.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a school-based setting.
Experience with Avon EHR system.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits (in-person and telehealth, as clinically appropriate).
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications within scope; provide medication monitoring, psychoeducation, and safety planning.
Review external physicals, labs, and screenings obtained off-site to ensure medical needs are integrated into treatment planning.
Provide timely refills within policy; escalate high-acuity cases and coordinate higher levels of care when indicated.
Complete accurate, clinically appropriate documentation in the EHR within required timelines.
Maintain problem lists, med lists, allergies, CQM items, and measurement-based care instruments.
Follow New Jersey APN collaborative protocols and federal/state prescribing laws (CDS/DEA); comply with HIPAA/FERPA in school settings.
Participate in case consultation, multidisciplinary huddles, and care coordination with internal and external partners.
Support reasonable administrative responsibilities (e.g., forms, prior auth input, brief chart reviews).
Practice culturally responsive, trauma-informed care; incorporate clinical guidelines and decision support.
Meet or exceed productivity and quality metrics.
Abide by InSite Health code of ethics, policies & procedures, and all local/state/federal regulations.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA (and FERPA where applicable in schools).
Participate in required trainings, supervision/consultation, and competency assessments.
