About The Position

This is a full-time supervisory position under the supervision of the Program Director. This position includes clinical management and supervision of client care, management of day-to-day activities in the school and city, clinical supervision of staff and monitoring of school contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in mental health or related field from an accredited College or University.
  • At least 2 years’ experience providing mental health services.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.
  • Must be licensed as an LISW or LPCC by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board and must have supervisor’s endorsement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular supervision with clinical staff
  • Liaison with school representatives in each contract
  • Periodic review of documentation for clinical content and appropriateness
  • Ensure timeliness of episodes and documentation in the electronic health record
  • Ensure staff utilize the web-based electronic health record for billing and documentation
  • Resource person for problematic situations and cases
  • Consultant for clients in crisis, handles risk management (policies and procedures)
  • Recruit and train staff
  • Conduct regular staff meetings
  • Promote resiliency and a team approach to children’s problems, issues and system problems
  • Plan and coordinate in-service activities and training for staff
  • Provide back-up coverage
  • Demonstrate support for Agency goals, best practices, certification and credentialing
  • Support identification of new funding sources, forms strategic partnerships and develops service opportunities
  • Serve as a role model, promote teamwork and empower staff through the delegation of authority as appropriate to the job
  • Maximize program efficiency through effective management of human, fiscal, and environmental resources
  • Understand the needs of the program and uses creative problem-solving in order to meet those needs in a manner that is fiscally responsible
  • Embrace the vision and mission of the agency, encouraging supervisees to operate in a manner that supports the best interest of the person served
  • Demonstrate an understanding of local, state and federal policy, and industry changes that impact the agency and is proactive in responding to such changes
  • Represent Primary Health Solutions as a professional, accessible organization that promotes harmonious relationships with clients, staff and external customers
  • Understand and implement best practice guidelines, trains and coaches’ staff to effectively provide and coordinate quality client care congruent with the agency’s treatment philosophy
  • Ensure the appropriate dissemination of information both horizontally and vertically using both oral and/or written communication
  • Complete necessary agency audits/ reviews according to appropriate timelines and in accordance with local, state and federal requirements
  • Promote education, training and development of staff and encourages their professional growth
  • Maintain ongoing familiarity with community resources
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.
