About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide meaningful interventions that support student independence and academic growth in Surprise, AZ for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves delivering high-quality occupational therapy interventions and activities under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to support educational goals. This includes monitoring, recording, and reporting student progress towards Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, ensuring accurate and compliant clinical documentation. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary school teams is essential for implementing effective classroom modifications and assistive strategies.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies (or 60+ equivalent college credits)
- Valid Arizona Occupational Therapy Assistant License (OTA/L)
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions and activities to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to support educational goals.
- Monitor, record, and report student progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate and compliant.
