School-Based Nurse Practitioner (NP)
About The Position
We’re hiring a School-Based Nurse Practitioner (NP) who wants exceptional work-life balance and a meaningful community impact. You’ll step into a clinical or outpatient role focused on primary care for patients of all ages within school-based health centers. You will work autonomously with dedicated support staff. You’ll practice in Hancock County, MS, with access to pristine parks, rivers, world-class golf, and boating while enjoying a coastal community home to NASA's Stennis Space Center. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with no weekends, a very light phone-only call rotation of 1:20 weeks, and a manageable workload of 8 to 15 patients per day. You will have high autonomy with full MA and PSR staff support, a user-friendly NextGen EMR system, and the opportunity to serve a high-impact nonprofit mission serving the local community.
Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Enjoy primary care and working with underserved populations
- Comfortable practicing independently across school clinic settings
- Value work-life balance, strong team support, and community care
- 3+ years of outpatient experience
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care for patients of all ages within school-based health centers.
- Work autonomously with dedicated support staff.
- Manage a workload of 8 to 15 patients per day.
- Utilize NextGen EMR system.
