The School Based Mental Health Worker provides one-on-one & group interventions to a child or adolescent in school when the child or adolescent’s behavior without this intervention would require a more restrictive treatment or educational setting. The School Based Mental Health Worker works as part of a treatment team, which may include a classroom teacher, guidance counselor, Instructional Support Team teacher, school psychologist, principal, and/or CGRC Program Supervisor. Daily work performed by the School Based Mental Health Worker is monitored by the treatment team.
