About The Position
Centerstone is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Therapist to provide behavioral health services to students in the Wayne County School System, including Waynesboro Elementary School, Waynesboro Middle School, and Waynesboro High School. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide therapy where students spend most of their day, helping children and adolescents build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and achieve success both in and out of the classroom. Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet organizational vehicle insurance requirements
Nice To Haves
- License-eligible in Tennessee
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
- Experience in school-based, outpatient, or community mental health settings
- Applicants with a related behavioral health degree may qualify with 24 graduate semester hours in behavioral health-related coursework, training in assessment, treatment planning, psychopathology, and DSM-based diagnosis, and relevant clinical internship or practicum experience
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical intake assessments and establish diagnoses
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual therapy services to students based on assessed clinical needs
- Collaborate with families, school personnel, and treatment team members
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Respond professionally and promptly to client and organizational needs
- Maintain ethical standards and sound clinical judgment in all services provided
