About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Mental Health Therapist or Clinical Trainee to join our team in Crookston, Minnesota. This rewarding position provides mental health services to students in grades 6-12 in Crookston School district, helping children and families build emotional well-being, resilience, and success both in school and at home. Clinical trainees are encouraged to apply. Alluma provides clinical supervision and professional development opportunities to support growth toward independent licensure. As a member of Alluma's school-based mental health team, you will collaborate with experienced clinicians, school staff, and families to provide high-quality, accessible mental health care within the school setting. You will play an important role in helping elementary-aged students develop the skills they need to understand, manage, and overcome emotional and behavioral challenges.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Certification, licensure, or registration with the clinical discipline
  • Unrestricted independent licensure as an LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT in Minnesota
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Unrestricted independent licensure as a North Dakota LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT is preferred
  • Training or certification DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group mental health therapy services to middle and high school-aged students.
  • Engage families in treatment planning, communication, and coordination of care.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and administration to support student success.
  • Develop and implement interventions focused on early identification, prevention, and treatment of mental health concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, payer, and licensing requirements.
  • Participate in consultation, supervision, and professional development activities.
