School-Based Mental Health Professional (Licensed Therapist or Clinical Trainee) - Bemidji, MN
About The Position
North Homes Children & Family Services is seeking a Mental Health Clinical Trainee or fully Licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP) to provide mental health services within the Bemidji School District. This is a meaningful opportunity to support children, adolescents, and families while working in a collaborative school-based environment. As part of the school-based mental health team, you will provide therapeutic services that help students strengthen emotional regulation, coping skills, relationships, and overall well-being while supporting their success at school, home, and in the community. Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Minnesota licensure as an LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in good standing.
- Meets Minnesota requirements to practice as a Clinical Trainee under approved supervision.
- Commitment to obtaining independent clinical licensure.
- Participation in required clinical supervision.

Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Complete comprehensive mental health evaluations and other required clinical evaluations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and team meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, school administration, special education staff, families, case managers, and community providers.
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention support as needed.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and payer requirements.
- Utilize trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
- Support families through education, resources, consultation, and coordination of care.
- Participate in clinical supervision, consultation, training, CEU opportunities, and ongoing professional development.
