About The Position

Terros Health is seeking a School-based Clinician for its Children's Services program in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time position involves providing outpatient counseling services to children and their families, addressing both mental health and substance use needs. The role requires a professional, friendly, self-starter, organized, and compassionate individual. This clinician will work at the 27th Ave Health Center and will spend 2 days per week in local schools. Services may be provided in-office, at school-based settings, or in family homes. Travel is required for this position.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (MA, MS, MC, MSW) in a behavioral health field.
  • Arizona license or eligibility for Arizona license.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish professional working relationships.
  • Ability to perform first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary and appropriate.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for one within 7 working days of employment.
  • Must have or obtain a valid Arizona Driver License, be 21 years of age with a minimum 4 years driving experience.
  • Must meet requirements of Terros driving policy.
  • Must pass a TB test.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience practicing in one of the following licenses: Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT), Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Associate Addiction Counselor (LAAC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor (LIAC).
  • Training in DBT, or EMDR, or other Evidence Based Practice.
  • Travel Percentage: Up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient counseling services, including assessments and counseling for children, adolescents, transition aged youth, families, and groups.
  • Treat both mental health and substance use needs.
  • Provide services in school-based settings, family homes, or office-based settings as needed.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Translate knowledge into effective counseling methods.
  • Determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Seek supervision/consultation as appropriate.
  • Develop treatment plans with clear translation of needs into individual, achievable, and measurable objectives.
  • Involve in CFTs, collaborate with child/family, and contribute to the ISP process for Child and Adolescent Clinicians.
  • Ensure client charts are in compliance with required standards, including same-day progress notes that reflect evidence-based treatment.
