About The Position

The School Based Clinician will provide clinical care to youth and families of the CJR Wellness Center and the identified school. Clinician is responsible for billing a minimum of 15-18 hours per week in addition to some school responsibilities. This individual will provide support and logistical assistance to the Clinic Director and promote the continued communication and collaboration between CJR and the identified school. Provide individual and group counseling for student referrals from counselors Complete classroom observations and support teachers as needed with behavioral concerns within the class. Assist with Behavior Plan creation and implementation Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed in conjunction with counselors, administration and nurse. Minimum 15-18 billable hours per week Attend Department meetings as needed Attend Team meetings as needed Attend 504/PPT meetings as needed Participate as a member of school crisis team Collaborate with parents Provide professional development/presentations as needed Produce thoughtful, clinically sound and high-quality written documentation including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes Communicate with the Wellness Center Director regularly, relating clinic utilization, clinic activities, and other clinic related issues Maintain all necessary paperwork as it relates to third party billing Maintain files and ensure paperwork is filed in a timely fashion Ability to communicate, cooperate and serve people from all cultural identities with respect, professionalism, integrity and fairness in a manner that recognizes the individuality of each person.

Requirements

  • LMSW, LPCA or LMFT eligible required
  • Outpatient clinical experience and/or school experience favored
  • Clinical experience and knowledge regarding adolescent development, mental illness, influences of trauma, and coping skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to formulate positive collaborative relationships and communicate with the community, schools, funding sources, governmental relations and our client base
