About The Position
The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We provide high-quality care to all individuals, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a School Based Clinician to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. This position is responsible for providing clinical services to students and families in local school districts.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment.
- Two semesters master-level practicum experience in a clinical setting providing assessment and therapy services.

Responsibilities
- Provide intake assessments and initial treatment planning
- Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and on-going treatment planning
- Make referrals to TGC’s outpatient office for psychological testing, interpretation, and report-writing as needed.
- Make referrals to TGC outpatient office to include medication management, case management, attendant care, and other services as needed.
- Work collaboratively with school administrators and social work staff.
- During the summer months, continue to provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and group) and on-going treatment planning at the outpatient office.
- Provide daytime crisis services when needed.
- Observe student behavior in the classroom when appropriate and provide feedback to teachers and others regarding student behavior.
- Provide training to school district staff related to specific mental health issues on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure that all clinical services provided are following clinical guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies

- Competitive salary of $79,388 to $84,388; depending upon qualifications.
